Cryers Hill Coachworks
|
History We were formed in 1972 by our present M.D., Brian Hogg. It is a family run business with Brian's wife as co-director and company secretary. We became a Limited Company in 1974. Another member of the family is Garry, who is a manager and estimator having trained through the ranks. From those early days eight years were spent in establishing the Great Missenden site until larger premises were secured at Cryers Hill, High Wycombe, hence the name. In 1998 we moved to our present location at Kings Road, High Wycombe just opposite Sytner BMW in London Road, Wycombe Marsh, where we have grown to be one of the most successful independent bodyshops in the surrounding area. We employ 22 staff, of whom 3 are trainees.

The Kings Road site is 12,000 sq. ft of workshop space with ample reception and office facilities. The estimating and accounting procedures are carried out on site, many customers contact us via e-mail as all aspects of the company are computerised.
We achieved ISO 9002 status in 1997 and the MVRA QA status has been in place since 1995. Training All company employees have induction training followed by Thatcham training for specialist aspects and repair techniques. In-house training is also given. An inspecting specialist tests all employees who use welding equipment, they are tested annually and all have A1 Pass Certificates. Every department; fitting, painting and panel beating, always has a trainee for the future of our workforce. Many trainees have gone on to become very accomplished tradesmen through our training procedures. Quote from Brian Hogg: "I believe training our own staff to the highest levels of skill is a guarantee for our future." For more information on the team click the "The Team" menu button |
